After School Enrichment

The mission of Pittsford PTSA's After School Enrichment Program is to provide safe and supervised after-school educational, enriching and/or recreational programs for school-age children. Building PTSAs choose programs based on their individual demographics, interest level, and parent commitment. The building principal must approve all programs.

Pittsford Central School Districts strives to make our school environment one in which all children can learn and succeed. If any after school enrichment offering serves as a financial hardship or strain on your family, please work directly with Principal Barg or Counselor Liz Candeais at any time to secure necessary financial assistance through a confidential conversation.

Please note: Programs on this page are for Jefferson Road Elementary students only. They generally begin in October,  January, and March.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT:

  • PTSA policy is children in grades K – 5 are welcome to register for ASEP programs, as specified in program descriptions.

  • Per district PTSA policy, parents are required to volunteer a minimum of one session.

  • If there is no school due to weather, conference day, or break, there is no ASEP.

  • No late bus provided.  Parents, or a designated adult, must arrange to pick up their child at the conclusion of the program session. Adults other than parents, whom you authorize to pick up your child, MUST be listed in the required field when registering online.

  • For pick-up, parents or the designated adults must sign out your child. Be prepared to show ID to the volunteer signing your child out for the safety of all of the children in the program.

  • No Refunds provided when your child is absent, sick, or participating in an activity that conflicts with the ASEP class.

  • Please check your schedule as classes may overlap with other school activities including band, chorus, orchestra and student council.

WINTER 2025 OFFERINGS:   ***Registration begins Feb 6th at 6pm***

Register for Winter beginning Feb 6th at 6 pm through Feb 9th.

IF THE CLASS YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR IS FULL, PLEASE USE THE WAITLIST TO INDICATE YOUR INTEREST.

**A note about fees: In the past, processing fees were calculated and included in the cost of the program, invisible to the payer. The new registration site will be adding these fees onto the cost for each transaction, therefore, we no longer need to account for them in the cost of programming, meaning, these fees are now visible to the payer during the transaction. This is a great improvement, promoting the transparency expected of the PTSA.

Activities will be focused on environmentally friendly ways we can help our planet. In the spring we will focus on pollinator gardens and projects to support our schoolyard habitat. There are many benefits to connect our students with nature, including reduced anxiety, increased attention spans, increased creativity and social connection, and connections to all school subjects such as science, math, language arts, and art. The goal for this club is to strengthen students’ relationship with nature, and have a better understanding of why we must protect it for all living things, including ourselves.

Green Club not offered in Winter. Check back in the Spring!
